The Cyprus Gazetteer Project

The project, based at the Centre for Hellenic Studies / Department of Classics and in the Department of Digital Humanities, King’s College London, will be launched with an evening of short presentations. Its two components, the Heritage Gazetteer of Cyprus (HGC) and the Inventory of Byzantine Churches of Cyprus (iBCC), will be presented by Prof. Charlotte Roueché, Dr Stuart Dunn and Dr Tassos Papacostas:

Dr Marina Solomidou-Ieronymidou (Director, Department of Antiquities, Cyprus) and Dr Antonis Hadjikyriacou (Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas) will then present short papers on the digitization of ancient monuments and on toponyms in Ottoman Cyprus, respectively.
